ISO food diary – Strawberry Smoothie bowl

I thought I’d put together a little section on the food I’ve taken to eating during ISO. I thought it may be helpful to some and hopefully give you guys a few ideas on different foods to eat that are both nutritionally dense and tasty! Give any of these tasty recipes a try and send us through your photos and feedback!

Another variation on a smoothie bowl here. This one was inspired by a trip to the QVM where I found strawberries (personal favourite berry by the way) super cheap – $1 per punnet. Came home to make this bad boy.

Recipe:

  • 250ml of vitasoy protein plus almond milk
  • 1 cup of kale
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1 bunch of bok choy
  • 1 serve of my protein slated caramel protein
  • 1 serve of terra madra greens powder
  • 1 cup of frozen mixed berries
  • 3 fresh strawberries
  • 1 serve of Jpemms granola
  • 2 tsp of chia seeds

Method:

Put milk, kale, spinach, bok choy, protein powder, greens powder and frozen berries into a blender (I use a nutribullet) and blend it up real good (add ice or a frozen banana to make it thicker).
Top with the strawberries, granola and chia seeds.

Macro nutrient breakdown:

THAT’S A WRAP

We hope you find this recipe delicious and tasty.
